Generally ok, hte bed I had was extremely comfortable and the breakfsts were very good.
A little dark and grubby in certain areas eg bar / lift.
We originally only booked a room for one night but changed it to two nights prior to our visit, booking directly with the hotel and getting the same deal as if booked through external website. The staff were all friendly and very helpful, the breakfast staff were all over worked and the management should spend some money on more staff as our breakfast was just cooked and the waiting staff did not have the time to give the kind of service needed, although they all tried their best. We chose this hotel because of it's proximity to The Mayflower Theatre. I will stay here again and I'm glad I paid a little extra for a room with a balcony.
No parking -
It was fairly cheap and convenient for the railway station. I was with some mates and it was what we needed. I.E. a place to sleep after a couple of nights out in Southampton and the Isle of Wight. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has lots of facilities.
It was very dated (though clean). It's not a place I would go with my wife or kids as the decor, rooms etc were very tired and I would want a hotel stay to be a treat with more up to date luxury and decor. Something better than your own home, not something from the 70's !. The breakfasts werent great. The cooked food was greasy and over cooked. Suitable for a hangover but not for a romantic weekend. I would go back with my mates but not with my family.
It was near to Cruise Terminal , shops and restaurants, and we were going on a cruise the next day. Breakfast was very good and in with the price, but for one night it is recommendable, being clean and comfortable.
It was adequate but is looking a bit tired and in need of redecorating..
Good location, with just a short walk through the lovely Southampton park to the town centre.
No parking but it does state this on the website and there is a ncp car park 3 mins walk away. Breakfast was supposed to be served til 9.30 am, when I arrved at 9am almost all food was cleared away. No cooked breakfast was offered.
I found Southampton Park Hotel to be nicely positioned opposite the park .It is within easy walk of the railway station and city sights & shopping mall Arriving during the day the Hotel looks dated and it is easy to understand why the photo used in the advertisement is one taken at night as it is extremely flattering of the buildings facade. However once inside it is oldish but clean & well kept . I reserved a single room and was kindly upgraded to a double room with a very comfortable bed.Good breakfast in the morning
My only grumble is the room was extremely hot ( but to be fair it was unseasonally hot day ) and the room would have benefited from an airconditioner. There was a fan in the closet that I unfortunately didnt find until too late
The location was good for access to the docks and the main shopping areaas of Southampton.
I had been led to believe that this was a coeliac friendly hotel. However there was no gluten-free bread for breakfast.
The hotel was clean, lovely soft beds. The staff very helpful and the breakfast plentiful.
The hotel was very comfortable and spotlessley clean.
Dining facilities and pool etc.
Did not like squeeky floor boards loud music on saturday night till midnight other quests tv on till 5.25am had very little sleep and having to pay for parking was disgusting.
This hotel is ideal positioned for the theatre and very close to a large shopping area
The bed was very comfatable, breakfast choices were good
I enjoyed my stay at southampton park hotel. I thought the price was a little high.I have been looking for a nice hotel as my daughter is at uni in southampton.
had to wait 50mins for second course at diner. not enough staff serving. Rooms were of a poor standard almost like 1950s english hotel
The hotel was central to our needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean the bathroom was spotless with lovely big fluffy towels. The breakfast offered a good choice - when we got it, it was busy on the first morning with only two staff this could have been better staffed to allow for this. The second morning there were three staff with only half the guests.Otherwise generally good.
The room above ours needed the floor carpeted as it was very noisey when whoever was staying moved around so bad it woke us up at one point.Otherwise fine.
it is very convenient for the city and the theatre
breakfast was advertised til 9.30 but had run out of certain basic items by 9. there was no car parking.
